Mes Aynak ตั้งอยู่ทางทิศตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ของกรุง Kabul ประเทศอัฟกานิสถาน Mes Aynak เป็นมรดกอันล้ำค่าที่เก็บรักษาสิ่งมีค่าทางพระพุทธศาสนาอย่างประเมินค่ามิได้ แต่สถานที่นี้จะถูกปรับเปลี่ยนเป็นเหมืองทองแดงตั้งแต่ภายในเดือนธันวาคม 2555 นี้ ซึ่งเป็นการย่ำยีหัวใจชาวพุทธเพื่อแลกกับประโยชน์ในเชิงพาณิชย์เพียงเท่านั้น
